Sessions
Delivering after the dream win
25 Oct, 13:30 - 14:30
Speaker(s): Lucy Caldicott
Track: Corporates & Trusts
Synopsis:
If you bid for an opportunity some way outside your ability to deliver within your existing fundraising team, you need to hit the ground running - and make sure the high expectations you have created are fulfilled. CLIC Sargent learned they’d won the Tesco charity of the year partnership – one of the largest in the sector - in June 2009 with a launch date of March 2010. Managing a £5 million partnership for a £20 million turnover charity is always going to be a challenge. Lucy Caldicott will explain how the organisation tackled the task of setting up the team, systems and processes to deliver. She will also talk about other large-scale partnerships the charity has delivered: HBOS Charity of the Year in 2008 and the ITV This Morning Christmas Appeal 2010
