Andrew Watt
Organisation: AFP
Biography:
Andrew Watt serves as the Chief Programs Officer for AFP. This incorporates the newly created role of VP International Development for AFP, the purpose of which is to identify needs in the international fundraising community that must be met in order to enable individuals and the organisations that they work for to practice ethical and effective fundraising. AFP achieves this through the provision of services including education, ethical standards, training, mentoring, research, advocacy and membership. In addition, AFP looks to support the growth of new, national Fundraising Associations worldwide.
Andrew is currently working to develop partnerships with academic institutions and umbrella bodies in Latin America, South East Asia and Europe in order to deliver appropriate resources to the broadest possible audience in these regions, helping to grow effective fundraising networks.
Before joining AFP in 2006, Andrew had worked in the fundraising community from 1993, as Director of Policy and (since 2001) Deputy Chief Executive of the Institute of Fundraising in the UK. Andrew is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Fundraising (FInstF).
