After graduating from London University Angela joined Nationwide Building Society where she spent thirteen years holding a number of progressively more senior roles, principally in the retail and communications areas. Whilst there she studied for and obtained her DMS and ACIB she then joined General Electric as Communications Director for the Lighting business across Europe, Middle East, Africa & India.
She moved to Marsh in 2001 as Corporate Communications Director, with responsibility for community relations, corporate responsibility, internal communications, media relations, public relations, government affairs, marketing communications, events, sponsorship and electronic communications.
Angela joined HBOS in February 2005 as Head of Internal Communications and the Foundation. Since June 2006 Angela has focussed exclusively on leading the HBOS Foundation with responsibility for HBOS's community investment strategy including grant making, volunteering, fundraising and the development of a number of multi-million pound flagship programmes. She is also Chair of the Board of Trustees of the West Yorkshire Forget-me-not Trust and a member of the Money Advice Trust Partnership Board.
