Christine Scullion

Chrstine Scullion

Organisation: The Robertson Trust

Biography:

Christine was born in Birmingham but escaped to study for a Geography degree at Durham University. Christine has spent most of her working life to date in Scotland, since 1990, firstly as an Outward Bound Instructor near Fort William and then working in Edinburgh with young people with physical disabilities. She then spent a further five years in the north as a Development Officer with the Council of Voluntary Service in Lochaber. Eight years ago she moved south and began working as the Assessment Manager for The Robertson Trust based in Glasgow. The Trust provides £8M to support the work of charities in Scotland each year and over the past three years has developed a particular interest in supporting charities that work with offenders and their families; address alcohol misuse; and assist the development of community sports initiatives with an emphasis on diversionary activities for young people. Her role includes the development of these activities, the building of partnerships and the management and assessment of donations approved by the Trust.
